Best Mining Pals Tier List

Last updated: May 2024  ·  8 min read  ·  Updated for v0.4 Sakurajima

Mining is the backbone of mid and late-game progression in Palworld. Iron, Coal, Quartz, and Sulfur are all needed in huge quantities — and the right Mining Pals can automate the whole process. This tier list ranks every Mining-suitability Pal from best to worst.

💡 Mining Level MattersMining Lv3 Pals mine roughly 3x faster than Lv1 Pals. Always prioritize upgrading to higher Mining level Pals as you progress — the difference in output per hour is enormous.

S Tier — Best in Slot

Digtoise
Ground Type · Mid Game
The undisputed best miner in Palworld. Digtoise spins like a living drill and chews through ore nodes faster than any other Pal. Two Digtoise at a Stone Pit will keep up with even the most resource-hungry base.

Anubis
Ground Type · Late Game
While Anubis is primarily known for Handiwork Lv4, its Mining Lv3 makes it a dual-purpose powerhouse. One Anubis can handle both crafting and mining — the best all-rounder in the game.

A Tier — Strong, Worth Having

Astegon
Dragon / Dark Type · Late Game
One of the strongest late-game Pals with Mining Lv4 — the highest mining level available. Hard to obtain but absolutely worth it for an end-game ore operation.

Blazehowl Noct
Fire / Dark Type · Mid-Late Game
A solid Mining Lv3 option that also doubles as a strong combat Pal. Easier to breed than Anubis while still offering great mining output.
