Complete Crafting Priority Guide

The Technology tree in Palworld has dozens of unlocks — and spending points on the wrong things early slows your progression significantly. This guide tells you exactly what to prioritize at each stage so you're never stuck waiting for a key unlock.
💡 How Tech Points WorkYou earn Technology Points by leveling up your character. Ancient Technology Points come from defeating Tower Bosses and Alpha Pals — these unlock special recipes separately. Spend regular Tech Points wisely; you can't respec them.
Early Game Priorities (Levels 1–15)

Primitive Workbench
Your first crafting station. Everything starts here — unlock immediately.
2Lv
Pal Sphere
You need these to catch Pals. Unlock before anything else at level 2.
6Lv
Palbox
Required to establish your base and assign Pals to work. Top priority.
7Lv
Logging Site + Stone Pit
Unlock automated resource gathering for your base Pals. Huge early boost.
10Lv
Berry Plantation
Automated food production for your Pals. Without it, you'll constantly run out of food.
13Lv
Crossbow
Major weapon upgrade over the basic bow. Makes the first Tower Boss fight manageable.
Mid Game Priorities (Levels 15–30)

Wheat Plantation + Mill
Required for Flour → required for Cake → required for breeding. Unlock as soon as possible if you want to breed Pals.
19Lv
Breeding Farm
Unlocks the entire breeding system. One of the most impactful unlocks in the game.
22Lv
Hot Spring
Restores Pal sanity automatically. Without it, your base Pals will burn out and stop working.
25Lv
Refined Metal Armor
Significant defense boost. Worth unlocking before pushing into dangerous mid-game areas.
Late Game Priorities (Levels 30–50)

Electric Generator
Unlocks the entire electricity system. Everything in late-game production depends on this.
28Lv
Electric Furnace + Assembly Line
3x faster smelting and automated crafting. The biggest production upgrade in the game.
40Lv
Assault Rifle
Best sustained DPS weapon. Prioritize once you can farm the materials for ammo consistently.
What to Skip (Or Do Last)
- Decorative items — Wall decorations, banners, and cosmetics give base XP but have zero gameplay impact. Unlock last.
- Low-tier weapons — Don't spend points on Stone Spear or Wood Bow if you're close to unlocking Crossbow.
- Duplicate workbenches — One of each station type is enough early. Only build multiples when your base is large enough to need them.
