Setting Up Electricity in Your Base
Last updated: May 2024 · 9 min read · Updated for v0.4 Sakurajima
Electricity is the single biggest upgrade you can make to your Palworld base. Electric workbenches and furnaces process materials dramatically faster than their primitive counterparts — and unlocking the Assembly Line is what transforms your base into a true production machine.
⚠️ Tech Level RequirementYou need to reach Technology Level 26 to unlock the Electric Generator, and Level 28 for the Electric Furnace. Focus on leveling up by catching Pals and defeating bosses before trying to set up electricity.
How the Power System Works
Electricity in Palworld works through a simple chain: a Generator produces power, Electric Pals keep it running, and powered stations work faster than manual ones. There are no power cables to lay — stations within your base territory are automatically powered as long as your generator has a working Electric Pal assigned.
⚡Electric Generator — Placed in base, produces power when staffed by an Electric Pal
↓
🔧Powered Stations — Electric Furnace, Assembly Line, etc. automatically receive power
↓
🐾Worker Pals — Assigned Pals operate the powered stations at high speed
💡 Key RuleAn Electric Pal must be assigned to your base AND actively using the generator for it to produce power. If your Electric Pal is sleeping, eating, or doing another task, power cuts out. Assign a dedicated generator Pal that has no other work suitabilities.
Electric Stations – Unlock Order
| Tech Level | Station | Why It Matters |
| 26 | Electric Generator | Required to power everything else |
| 28 | Electric Furnace | Smelts ore 3x faster than Primitive Furnace |
| 28 | Electric Kitchen | Cooks food much faster, better recipes |
| 31 | Assembly Line | Crafts items automatically at high speed |
| 34 | Assembly Line II | Even faster, needed for late-game items |
Best Electric Pals for Power Generation
Univolt
Generating Electricity Lv2
Best mid-game power Pal. Also has Transporting Lv2 but dedicate it to power only.
Grizzbolt
Generating Electricity Lv3
The best power generator. Hard to catch but worth it for late-game bases.
Rayhound
Generating Electricity Lv1
Easy early option. Works fine until you can get Univolt.
Orserk
Generating Electricity Lv3
Alongside Grizzbolt the best generator. Also great in combat.
