Hidden Merchant Locations

Wandering merchants in Palworld sell items you can't craft — including rare Pal Spheres, special food, unique equipment, and sometimes even Pals with specific passive skills. Knowing where to find them saves hours of farming. They also refresh their inventory over time, so repeat visits are worth it.
💰 Sell Excess ResourcesMerchants also buy your items. If you've stockpiled too much Coal, Sulfur, or common drops, sell them to fund purchases of rarer items. Gold is easy to earn through selling and hard to spend once you know what merchants sell.
Merchant Locations
Small Settlement Merchant
📍 Small Settlement — Starting Region, northwest of Plateau of Beginnings
The most accessible early-game merchant. Located in a small human settlement with several NPCs. Sells basic supplies including Pal Spheres, food, and early-game materials. Good for stocking up before your first Tower Boss attempt.

Wandering Merchant (Desert Route)
📍 Dessicated Desert — patrols the main road through the desert
A roaming merchant found walking the desert trade route. Sells mid-game supplies including better Pal Spheres and occasionally rare equipment. Worth checking every time you pass through the desert. Inventory resets daily.

Pal Merchant
📍 Small Settlement — same location as the basic merchant, different NPC
A dedicated Pal trader who sells live Pals directly. The selection rotates but you can sometimes find Pals with specific passive skills that would take many breeding generations to achieve. Expensive but can save significant time. Check regularly for passive skill bargains.

Black Marketeer
📍 Multiple hidden locations — often near cave entrances and cliffs
Black marketeers sell stolen Pals and illegal goods at high prices. Their inventory includes rare Pals not normally available from regular merchants, and high-tier Pal Spheres. Locations are hidden — look for suspicious characters near isolated locations. Dealing with them doesn't affect your wanted level.

Volcano Region Merchant
📍 Mount Obsidian area — near the volcanic settlement
A late-game merchant selling high-tier items including endgame weapon components and the best Pal Spheres in the game. Only accessible once you have heat-resistant gear to survive the volcano region. Well worth visiting regularly once you're at that stage.

What to Buy from Merchants
- Pal Spheres — Always buy the highest tier available. You'll never have too many.
- Wheat Seeds — If you haven't unlocked them via tech tree, merchants sometimes sell them early.
- Pals with passive skills — Check the Pal Merchant often. A Pal with Artisan or Legend saves generations of breeding.
- Rare equipment — Some weapons and armor pieces are merchant-exclusive and can't be crafted.
