Dungeons in Palworld are instanced caves scattered across the map that contain powerful Pals, rare loot chests, and always a boss at the end. They're one of the best sources of Ancient Technology Points, rare Pal Spheres, and unique equipment. This guide covers the best dungeons to farm and how to do it efficiently.
💡 Dungeon Reset TimerDungeons reset every real-world hour. Mark your favorite farming dungeons on the map and revisit them regularly. The loot and boss respawn completely with each reset.
How Dungeons Work
- Dungeons appear as cave entrances marked on your map
- Each dungeon has a fixed difficulty and recommended level
- A boss Pal waits at the end — defeating it gives the best loot
- You can catch Pals inside dungeons, including rare ones not found in the wild
- Loot chests spawn randomly throughout the dungeon, not just at the end
- Dungeons reset every ~1 hour of real time
⚠️ Time LimitDungeons have a time limit once you enter. If you don't clear the boss in time, you're ejected. Make sure your team is strong enough to move quickly — don't stop to fight every single Pal if you're short on time.
Best Dungeons to Farm
Ancient Tech PointsHigh-tier SpheresAnubis rare spawn
One of the best mid-game farming dungeons. The boss at the end frequently drops Ancient Technology Points, and Anubis can occasionally spawn inside as a rare encounter — making this worth farming even just for a chance at catching one.
SulfurRare EquipmentAncient Tech PointsFire Pals
The best late-game farming dungeon. Dense with loot chests and strong Fire-type Pals worth catching. The boss drops some of the highest-tier equipment in the game. Bring Ice-type Pals to counter the Fire enemies efficiently.
Ice OrgansFrostallion MaterialsMega Spheres
Great for farming Ice-type Pal materials and upgrade components. Also a reliable source of Mega and Giga Spheres from chests inside. Bring Fire-type Pals for efficient clearing.
Pal SpheresClothBasic Materials
The best early-game dungeon for beginners. Low-level enemies, manageable boss, and decent early loot. Great for stocking up on Pal Spheres before your first Tower Boss attempt.
Dungeon Farming Strategy
- Skip weak enemies — Don't fight every Pal you see. Rush toward the boss for the best loot per minute.
- Always open every chest — Side chests have good loot and only take a few seconds to open.
- Bring catching Pals — Rare Pals can spawn inside dungeons. Keep a few high-tier Spheres ready.
- Use a mount — Moving fast through dungeon corridors saves significant time per run.
- Farm the same dungeon repeatedly — Pick 2-3 favorites near each other and loop between them as they reset.
